For years now, TaylorMade has been one of the industry leaders in golf club architecture and manufacturing. They always put out some of the best golf accessories available.

The point is this is one shaft with four separate set up positions. Why is that important? Because golf is ridiculously specific to individuals and we all need something different. The shaft on the taylormade r9 driver allows you to customize your set up position. It is not meant to be an interchangeable system like the ones that Callaway and some other manufactures (yes, you too Taylormade) have tried to pitch us. At only 420cc or thereabouts, the head is neat and compact and with its deep face has a smaller footprint at address even at the end of a 45 inch shaft that is shorter than the typical modern standard of 46 inches. A few quick adjustments later and the club helped me set up in a comfortable and confident address position. The rest was history. And since we can’t walk over to the tour van and have their tech hook us up with something specific to our very own body/swing/stance, we need the manufacturer to lend a hand. The first requires both moveable weights and an adjustable hosel while the second only has one or the other. The combination of FCT and MWT can be found in not just the R9 driver but also the fairway woods and the Rescue 09 TP hybrid.

TaylorMade’s Flight Control Technology allows you to adjust your taylormade r9 fairway wood to eight different head positions to launch the ball longer and straighter by changing the face angle, loft and lie angle. Depending upon how the clubhead characteristics are set, the R9 fairway wood promotes up to 35 yards of side-to-side trajectory change - perfect for correcting a slice or hook. In agreement of application the Flight Control Technology, which is the capital affection of the TaylorMade R9 Fairway Wood range. The head design has been dubbed "new classic" by TaylorMade due to its successful combination of both modern and classic head shapes. It looks like Taylormade has outdone themselves again. If nothing else they should win the award for golf club brand with the most acronyms and nicknames! While the tweaking of clubs is commonplace on the Tour the R9 offers the ordinary golfer the same control over their clubs as a professional player using a simple bolt in the clubhead that can be changed in seconds.

You can come to the new golf superstore to choose your R9 sets.

NEWS:

It's safe to say Troy Matteson likes the Frys.com Open. Both of his PGA Tour wins have come in this event, albeit at desert venues. The confidence from his history in this event may turn out to buoy a season plagued by missed opportunities. Matteson started by making birdies on three of his first five holes and finished with birdies on four of his final five. Matteson has had an average year to this point, missing the cut in 11 of 21 tournaments, including his first five starts. His best finish is a tie for 26th at the Honda Classic. But he lowered his best score for the year, a 65 at the Humana Classic, by four strokes in taking the lead. It's his best start in any Tour tournament. "There have been some great players at Georgia Tech, and to be the first one to win the NCAA is a tremendous honor,” Matteson said. “Coach (Bruce Heppler) was extremely helpful in preparing us for this golf course and he was really positive all week, helping me whenever I got down." It was all Matteson on the final playoff hole, however. After setting a PGA Tour record for lowest scores in successive rounds by carding 61s on Friday and Saturday, it seemed fitting that Matteson should capture the tourney.

PING’s G20 brand of golf clubs has garnered absolutely a bit of absorption in the abbreviate time back its release. PING has consistently been a brand that attracts a loyal fan-base like few companies can, but abundant of this absorption has been from humans that are not adept users of their products.

PING’s proprietary high-balance point shaft enables you to swing a club head at more mass with the same speed, generating fast ball speeds at a high MOI, for long straight drives. The ping g20 driver launches the ball .75 degrees higher and with 200 less rpm than the G15. However, what has impressed me so far about the G20 is its ability to get my drives in the air quickly and with far less spin than I have experienced with the R7. In terms of feel, again the Ping G20 does not disappoint one bit. Off-center hits still felt solid, and center strikes produced great feel, and a solid sound (not tinny, not dull – just right). There’s not much that stands out on this club from an aesthetic sense. It’s fairly understated (especially at address) while the sole of the club has the Ping and G20 logos. Technologically speaking, this amazing feat can be attributed to the increased club head stability of the G20, a stability that despite the poor swing keeps the club head reasonably in line with the ball.

The ping g20 fairway wood is yet another very solid offering from the folks at PING. The forgiveness and straight ball flight are probably my two favorite things about the club. Like most series, the G20 fairway woods feature a very similar look with the driver. Lower face height, sleek look, and great performance. Speaking of shafts, the Ping G20 Fairway Wood reviews comes standard with the TFC 169F, which is slightly changed from the G15 series. The Ping G20 fairway wood can gives you a higher flight without adding extra spin. This club easily gets the ball airborne and adds yards with a low-deep center of gravity in the 17-4 stainless steel head by creating low spin with a much higher launch. The G20 is definitely a fairway wood I’d put on the ‘must-try’ list if you are in the market. I did find the G20 to be a reliably straight club for my swing, though it didn’t deliver quite as high of a ball flight as I get from my current fairway wood.

You can search the relative information through the golf clubs online before buying.

NOTE:
Two-time PGA Tour winner Chopra was in the clubhouse at 13-under 129 before play was suspended for 2 1/2 hours at the Horizon Hills Golf and Country Club in Malaysia’s southern Johor state. “There’s a bit of magic in that number 30. Not many people will be able to say that, ever. That’s something to put on my resume,” said Chopra, who played Henrico County because he was unable to land a spot in the PGA Tour’s limited-field Bank of America Colonial. According to a 2010 Golf Digest article, the estimated odds of an amateur making two holes-in-one in a round are one in 64 million. The odds, of course, would be better for a player of Chopra's skill. “I didn’t drive the ball as well as I did yesterday but my putting was perfect,” Chopra said. “My iron play needs a little bit more work on the driving range this afternoon. If I can get that sorted out and get some rhythm with that, then I should be good for the weekend.”

PING’s G20 brand of golf clubs have garnered absolutely a bit of absorption in the abbreviate time back its release.

Large, variable-thickness in the Ping G20 Driver’s face increases MOI across the hitting surface and generates faster ball speeds for increased forgiveness and power. Following Bubba Watson’s victory at the 2012 Masters, using a Pink G20 Driver, Ping announced that 5000 limited edition ping g20 driver would be available with proceeds going to Bubba Watson charities. The new G20 has been designed to give a player the two things most desired in a driver: high launch and low spin. However, what has impressed me so far about the G20 is its ability to get my drives in the air quickly and with far less spin than I have experienced with the R7. Great looking club head that sits very square at address, muted dark grey color with a confidence inspiring head size that offers a fairly large“foot print”, with a high launch and low spin all at reasonable price for a new to the market club.

Usually for any item, there ought to be multiple vendors who offers it. You probably really should spend money through the one that's respectable. While I didn’t absolutely love this shaft for my swing, I found it to be a pretty nice compliment to the ping g20 fairway wood. As anniversary set, it charge accept two capital points, aboriginal is a college attic to lift the brawl out of the accommodation and over low obstacles like hills, additional is shallower face acme which allows a amateur to hit a brawl from the arena application the exact centermost of the club, accouterment greater ambit for such shots. Accuracy comes from perimeter weighting and a slightly larger face that raises the moment of inertia, ensuring a stable clubhead and faster ball velocity for maintaining distance, even on miss-hits.

You can buy these clubs at the golf clubs on sale, whcih can save you a lot.

NOTE:

Kevin Sutherland shot 10-under 62 on Thursday to take a four-stroke lead over Rocco Mediate and Joel Kribel after the first round of the Callaway Golf Pebble Beach Invitational. Kevin Sutherland was No. 65 when he won the Match Play a year later at La Costa. Craig Parry is the only player outside the top 100 to win a WGC, at No. 118 when he captured the 2002 NEC Invitational at Sahalee. Sutherland, the 2002 World Match Play champion who lives in Sacramento, Calif., broke his 9-iron swinging it into a cactus. He played the back nine first, and broke the club on the 13th hole. This week’s final featured a pair of big names – if not the biggest names – in winner Matt Kuchar and runner-up Hunter Mahan. Those still reciting past success for the likes of Kevin Sutherland and Pierre Fulke clearly haven’t been paying attention for the past 11 editions. Sutherland’s 8-iron shot hit the lip of the bunker on the par-3 16th and rolled into the sand, but the 42-year-old Californian, who began play on the back nine, holed the bunker shot for the first of three consecutive birdies.

Mizuno accept to be one of my admired golf brands. Understated air-conditioned – no adorned black drivers or multi coloured inserts in the irons. Just accomplished clubs fabricated with candor and an old academy business plan. I aswell like that not abounding club amatuers play them, authoritative them affectionate of exclusive.

Using the Grain Flow Forging and the Cut Muscle technologies apparent in the blow of the MP line, the mizuno mp57 irons are the aboriginal adamant in the alternation to affection a abounding cavity. By accumulation a abounding cavity, the Mizuno engineers were able to accomplish a abundant beyond candied atom for added absolution for those of us who don't accomplish a about absolute beat every time. Along with added forgiveness, the MP-57's aftermath a hardly college brawl flight in the continued irons, and a mid trajectory, in the scoring irons. They as well bear the solid feel and attempt authoritative adeptness that MP adamant players crave. Most chiefly the MP-57's accomplish all these arena aspects, yet in a archetypal arch contour that appeals to bigger players. Other appearance of the new MP-57 cover a formed arch edge, cambered mid-sole, and formed abaft bend to bear constant arresting adeptness from all types of lies, adapted U-grooves aftermath the ideal circuit amount for best playability in all conditions, and a abiding bifold nickel chrome argent accomplishment for a amateur adopted look.

The aboriginal affair you will apprehension with the MP-53’s (as with a lot of of the added M series) is the authentic apple-pie attending at setup. The club arch is hardly abate than boilerplate and the top band is attenuate after getting intimidating. The diamond also helps the Mizuno MP-53 make a fantastic sound on impact - as if the sight of the ball flying where and how you want it was not good enough. Another affair to point out in commendations to the attending of the mizuno mp53 irons would be the CNC formed Pocket Cavity on the 3-7 irons. I was abundantly afraid NOT to see this if acclamation the ball a HUGE additional in my book. The transistion from Pocket Cavity to Cavity Back is seamless too. The MP-53’s feel good in the hand too – give it a few practice swings and you’ll appreciate the balanced, solid feel. The club face is none too shabby either. Tour-compliant modified U-grooves have been milled into the face, giving spin that is in keeping with the overall workability of these irons.

Fortunately, these two clubs can be ordered at the golf clubs online where you can save a lot. Have a good time!

NOTE: Maybe Jonathan Byrd’s recent success shouldn’t come as a surprise. Byrd, winner of his past two PGA Tour starts, is one of the most consistent iron players on Tour. Just like any new season, there was a degree of nervousness and uncertainty, starting with the defending champion. “You never hear anyone say, ‘Rush it, don’t miss a tournament, get back,’” he said. “I talked to Tom Watson, and he said, ‘Wait till you’re ready, and then wait another month. It takes a while before the belief comes back.’” He may be able to ace a par 3 of more than 200 yards to win $774,000, but Byrd isn’t about to tell young children that they’re not going to Disney, so there it is. He’s added a 27th tournament to his 2010 schedule, for all the right reasons. Byrd went through with the surgery, thankfully, and afterward remembered his wife, Amanda, racing down the street in 40-50 mph winds to get Jonathan’s meds, banging on the door of the pharmacy to let her in.

Ping's aboriginal artificial architecture in added than 40 years, the Anser carries the aforementioned name as one of the aboriginal adamant models Karsten Solheim produced afore he transitioned to the accepted investment-casting process.

The Anser 7-iron has 5°, the RAZR X 6°) which agency you can nip the brawl of adequately bound lies and out of bad lies easier than you apparently can with your present set. This ping anser irons, accustomed the name of the company's best affairs doodle and one of its ancient irons, looks like a Ping club in every way with its ample cavity, thickish top line, and the now-familiar hosel cleft which enables clubfitters to angle the face for the adapted loft. It looks forgiving, just like every added Ping adamant you anytime saw, in fact. Anser band accept beneath animation than is accepted (the 3-iron has -3° of animation while the Callway RAZR X Forged 3-iron has +2°. This stunning set of irons feature a progressive head design manufactured from a multi-material designed soft 8620 Steel body, dense tungsten sole weight and internal cavity above the sole which helps optimize the CG and elevate the MOI of the Irons.

"There's a lot of new technology in the entire G20 family," said PING chairman and CEO John Solheim. "Our engineers optimised the clubs to fit and benefit golfers of all skill levels. The ping g20 irons band accept got to be some of the easiest and a lot of affectionate clubs available. They affection a ample sole and, while not decidedly adorable on the eye, it enables them to sit collapsed on the arena acceptance the amateur to ambit abroad the backswing apathetic and low arch to a added constant and controlled swing. The G20 Irons maintain the Ping 'G' lines of look; the company have changed the weighting in the head and modified the feel. Impressive forgiveness remains, but with a better all-round performance. Combined withPing's new CFS breathing shaft, the Ping G20 Bandage optimizes feel and trajectories.

All these irons can be ordered at the golf clubs online, welcome to find your beloved ones.

Golf news time: After grinding it out for seven consecutive weeks on the PGA Tour, Bill Lunde had big plans this week back home in Las Vegas. Lunde leads the season-long Kodak Challenge over Cameron Tringale and Fabian Gomez, who both made the cut at the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals Classic and can tie Lunde with an eagle at the par-4 17th hole. “I started driving it really well, hitting it down the fairway,” Lunde said. “So that kind of changed the whole game. I went from scrambling to make pars to having 9 irons that I could hit close. Lunde made it back to the Nationwide Tour in 2008 and took advantage of his second chance. He won the Nationwide Children’s Hospital Invitational that year and finished fifth on the money list, which earned him a spot on the PGA Tour in 2009. It was only five years ago when Lunde gave up on the game. A member of UNLV’s national championship team in 1998, it took him five years to reach the Nationwide Tour, and he only lasted two years before he decided to move on.

The Mizuno MX-200s afflicted my apperception about what a bold advance adamant should be and how a bold advance adamant should feel. And this is advancing from anyone who thinks the connected Mizuno acclaim gets a little old sometimes.

Like with a lot of Mizuno clubs, there is a ambit of shafts accessible for the MX-200s, both in graphite and steel. Our tests were done with models adapted with Dyna-Lite Gold XP animate annealed angle shafts. Y-tune technology extends and expands the candied breadth of the clubface out against the toe to bear amazing absolution on mis-hits. With the re-engineered alien ability bar and close Y-shape atrium pad, the mizuno mx200 irons are acquainted for astonishing forgiveness, abundant aisle and amazing, artificial feel. Further acceptable the absolution is a beyond clubhead and the cool abysmal formed abridged that creates a lower, added centermost of gravity. Another thing that was so apparent when hitting the MX-200s is how forgiving they are, alot more than would be expected from irons aimed at the better player. The Y-Tune Technology in the MX-200 has been adapted in the new alternation and is now alleged Y-Tune Pro and is said to accommodate a abundant beyond candied spot, which added increases the absolution beyond the clubface.

With a acceptable actualization and basal accelerating offset, they accept bashful sole width. They attending acceptable at set up. Instead of backbreaking your mis-hits, the MX-300’s absolutely are forgiving. To accord you a bigger abstraction of the abstraction abaft the MX-300, anticipate "a added affectionate MP iron." Yes, the workability and glassy actualization is still there, but so is a beyond candied spot, and a about airy cavity. The mizuno mx 300 irons are fabricated from the Grain Flow Forged, 1025E "Pure Select" balmy carbon steel, which plays a big allotment in that feel that Mizuno admirers adore. In affiliation with the Grain Flow Forging process, Modal Analysis was acclimated to added absolute that sweet, buttery bendable feel and complete at impact. Though labeled as a bold advance iron, the MX-300 exudes the adorableness that you ability commonly acquisition in a blade. The attenuate top band is an adumbration that these band don't absolutely fit absolutely into that GI category, and appropriately are not actual beefy or badly thick.

Now comes to the golf news: There was a certainty about Luke Donald’s win at Wentworth’s West course to reclaim his BMW PGA Championship and world #1 ranking. Luke Donald enjoyed the perfect warmup for this week's British Open with a flawless 9-under 63 to win the rain-shortened Scottish Open by four strokes, his first victory since becoming the world's top-ranked player in May. This year’s Seminole Pro-Member includes six of the top 10 players in the Official World Golf Ranking, including No. 3 Luke Donald, No. 5 Justin Rose and No. 6 Louis Oosthuizen. His advance achievement at the Accenture Match Play in Arizona in February appropriate a cure had been begin to "Luke Donald Disease" — a action actively invented by an American announcer in 2009 to call the Englishman's disability to abutting out a big tournament. "I felt good out there, very comfortable, very in control. That's a good sign for next week," said Donald, who is half Scottish and wore Tartan trousers for the final day. Two added birdies fabricated it four in a row and although he was briefly abutting in foreground by Tullo, the collective baton from the aboriginal round, the adamant Donald sank a 15-footer to aces up addition baboon on No. 9. He again benefited from a chargeless bead out of a clammy alembic on the 10th fairway to accomplish a amazing up-and-down. SEE MORE GOLF ARTICLES, CLICK HERE.

The Callaway X series irons are really making a lot of waves on golf course these days because of visonary, cutting-edge new design and engineering features.

Callaway X24 HOT Irons appear to be high in list of subscribers for the PGA tour and those who just head to the environmentally friendly each end of the week. The word "WOW" is used a lot in x24 circles when people experience callaway irons' performace for the first time. When I first started using this callaway x24 hot irons, the wedges were giving me problem and the low center of gravity is helpful, but it seems little difficult to make solid contact and the club face does not seem to grip the ball as much, which in turn generates spin around the green which was not easy. One particular actually appealing thing about the Callaway X24 HOT Irons is that people are seeing them as more than simply a the game of golf device. This is the consummate portion of tech that allows the Callaway X24 to be all that they can be--it's also what allows you to maximize your golf score potential!

Talking about the callaway x22 irons advertisement surely has made my heartbeat faster and I am surely going to go for my set of these irons. They are some of the best golf clubs that amateurs and able golfers can play. The x22 irons band chase a continued attitude of Callaway band in the X series. They accept consistently been some of the best golf irons. Callaway X-22 Irons set was released in the early of 2009. Their obvious features are large head, high fault tolerance, which are aimed for those players without stable swing. The feel is very smooth off virtually any surface. It is light enough for me to control where I want the ball to go, and it is very forgiving as well. I have already called my "old fellows" to have game on the next weekend and it makes me feel proud to even feel about holding these irons in my hands and have a winning roar.

UC Irvine senior John Chin, No. 9 in Golfweek’s rankings, earned medalist honors after closing with a 1-under 71 for a nine-shot victory over Pacific’s T.J. Bordeaux (73) and Cal Poly’s Pace Johnson (76). Chin, 21, of Temecula, Calif., and a junior at UC Irvine, defeated David Johnson, 21, of Palm Bay, Fla., and a senior at Central Florida, 4 and 3. Russell Henley, Golfweek’s player of the year, gave Team USA its 12th point after beating Jesper Kennegard, 4 and 2. With only two matches still on the course, Langley clinched the match for the Americans when he ensured at least a half-point after parring the 17th hole against Rhys Enoch. Langley went on to complete his 1-up victory, while John Chin dropped his match against Patrick Spraggs.

I know, golf is a pretty lame topic if you do not play it, but those involved in the golfing world have most likely heard about TaylorMade’s newest club line: the RBZs.

TaylorMade RocketBallz Irons flexible ultra-thin face raises the COR to the USGA's high ball speed limit for amazing distance and positions to be one of the greatest iron sets in company history. Without a doubt, new TaylorMade RocketBallZ RBZ Irons will be an improvement over any other iron in a golfer's bag. The 2 piece metal wood style construction allows you to get the ball high in the air whilst still maintaining and increasing distance when you impact the ball. The taylormade rocketballz rbz irons feature a game changing hollow construction which is similar to a metal wood. At impact, it feels like the ball really jumps off the face of these clubs, making it feel like you crushed every shot you hit with them.

The taylormade rocketballz rbz Set is individually engineered to promote improved accuracy, greater distance, and a greater feel. Key to the distance performance of RocketBallz irons is a large, thin clubface that’s strong and stiff at the perimeter and thin at the inner edge, allowing the face to flex freely like a trampoline. “From a technology standpoint, we have done the unthinkable. We brought in metalwood engineers to help create irons with faces that behave like drivers, sending the ball easily high and far almost as if it was bounced off a trampoline. These technological advancements will be visible to the golfer upon first contact with a ball.”said Sean Toulon, executive vice president of TaylorMade Golf. Even miss-hits with these clubs go far, straight, and high, an added bonus for when you have the occasional slip-up.

Retief Goosen, a famouw star in TaylorMade, opened with a 3-under 67 at the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational on Thursday, which is even more impressive when you consider his current health. Goosen remains at the table, unperturbed by the argument and the sudden departure of his dining companions. He takes a last sip from his coffee cup, replaces the cup on its saucer and ambles out of the restaurant. Louis Martin, chief executive of the South African Tour, has been watching Goosen since Goosen burst on the amateur scene in the late 1980s. He agrees. Goosen is No. 52 in the world ranking, and he has to be in the top 50 after next week to avoid missing Augusta National—along with St. Andrews, his favorite course—for the first time since 1999. For now, he’s forced to deal with the pain.“It is a struggle to sleep properly and to get going in the mornings, to warm up,” he continued. “And yeah, I'm losing a lot of distance out there on the golf course. I can't quite go at it as hard as I would like to.”
So far, so good this week. His scores have gotten better daily, from 69 to 68 to 65. His back, though, felt better in the middle round than it did in Saturday’s low round.

This is a quality set of golf clubs that are a joy to play with, helping you hit the ball farther and straighter than your friends. You can also find the wholesale golf clubs from our store. HAVE FUN!

People think about Called ping Golf Clubs, what things you think connected first? Which aspects of Called ping Golf Clubs have been important, which seem to be essential, and the ones that can you spend or leave? You be often the judge.

It's declared that this time they attract a new item, the Titled ping i20 irons are designed which has a thinner face along with a wider sole, which in turn contribute to position fat to the toe plus a higher launch direction for added forgiveness. These multi-material irons utilize tungsten weights in the toe for better forgiveness on off-center shots and a “Custom Tuning Port” in the sole to help optimize launch conditions at impact. The i20s arrive with cute little protective socks on each one, and a pink tag letting me know a real person built my irons and checked the specs to ensure they matched my requirements. For many of us they’re not going to be perfect out of the box. You have unfamiliar clubs in your hands. It takes time to adjust to the differences of your new dance partner. Unquestionably, the ping ping i20 irons, single number handicappers who pack a new distance punch, love to work the golf ball left and right, and participate in more by think than by GPS, may very well be better served by Pings brand new forged "Anser" Irons, but unless you truly are as well level of golfer--these are deserving of a very serious seem."

Made from stainless steel, the ping i15 hybrid provides a high MOI and a tour-preferred trajectory. Internal weighting positions the center of gravity low and back to produce the penetrating ball flight that gives better players the control to hit a variety of shots from most any lie. Again, the Ping g15 hybrid looks much like a driving iron, but with a shortened, curving black head. The head design is very much a departure from its previous-generation, fairway wood-inspired G10 counterpart. The ping g15 hybrid has a very slim design with increased offset, and at address it can actually look a lot like an iron. Ten radial ribs sitting within the crown provide the most solid-feeling sound from this club when the ball flies off its face. Since hybrids are all about control, the Ping G10 Hybrid comes with shafts that are a tad shorter and heavier; available with the TFC 129H shaft, Grafalloy ProLaunch Red and the UST V2 High Launch.

Harris English cobbled together two rounds of 1-under 69 to make the cut on the number, but after Friday’s second round, he was fed up with how he was driving the ball. English, a PGA Tour rookie who turned pro after last year’s Walker Cup, shot 17-under 123 and won the Open’s International Final Qualifying America by four strokes over Englishman Greg Owen (66-61). “Playing with Matt (Kuchar on Saturday) was awesome,” English said.“I really learned a lot from his demeanor. I struggled but I just need to get in these situations more and more and learn how to handle it.”Focusing his work the last few weeks on wedge play, English saw the effort pay off on one of the Tour's most intimidating finishes. English, by contrast, never came close to finding trouble while qualifying for his first major championship. The former University of Georgia star birdied his final six holes in Round 1 in breaking Fred Couples’ Queens Course record of 62 set in 1995. See more ping's, click here.

You’ll be sure to see plenty of these golf clubs brands out on the course this year. Have fun!

During the off season here in the Ottawa area golf nuts like myself have a lot of free time til we can tee it up again (unless of course we plan a Winter golf vacation).

During testing of the new R1 driver from Taylor Made, we found that the standard shaft and the new hosel were hitting the ball very high. The TaylorMade R1 driver is all about adjustability. Through different means of maneuverability, the R1 can be“tuned”to 168 different settings of the golfer’s choosing. If this still sounds too complicated and you would like to see the results prior to purchase, then the easiest thing to do is come see us and get your driver custom built to suit you and at the same price as off the shelf. I know last season I pick up a TaylorMade Burner 2.0 Superfast Driver during the off-season and it became my driver for all of 2012 which for me is astonishing considering my sideline as a Golf Blogger. The graphics, TaylorMade says, provide “linear reference cues” to help golfers square the face at address. The stock shaft in the taylormade r1 driver is the Aldila RIP Phenom 55, an ultra-light graphite shaft for some extra “oomph” in club head speed. While it weighs only 55 grams, its design provides the feel of a 65-gram shaft.

“The taylormade r11s driver is a golfer’s dream come true; it’s the realization of every ounce of innovation, adjustability, and performance we could package in a bigger, more aerodynamic, white clubhead,” said Sean Toulon, executive vice president. The R11S driver’s modern-classical clubhead shape is intended to suit the eye of better players, while still providing ample forgiveness and confidence for average players. The adjustment comes in handy if you know what you are doing, but a beginning golfer can attempt to make the adjustments and mess up his game if it is not done properly. The club simply feels great, looks amazing, and is fully adjustable. It’s simply a solid and capable driver. The R11s features two weight ports, one in the toe and one in the heel. The Moveable Weight Technology allows you to change the 1 gram and 10 gram weight to manipulate ball flight. The white finish is what sticks out the best and it is easy to align on the ball upon address. You do get good feedback on mishits, which makes it easier to adjust the next time you hit the golf ball.

Robert Garrigus, one of the longest hitters in golf, ranked first in driving distance in back-to-back years (2009, 2010) on the PGA Tour. Garrigus combined his power with a couple of timely putts at rain-softened Hamilton for a 6-under 64, breaking the 54-hole scoring record at golf's third-oldest championship that was first set more than a half-century ago by Palmer. That’s no surprise. Garrigus, who has led the Tour in driving distance each of the last two years, spent the bulk of his time after Thanksgiving working on his wedge game inside 100 yards. The work paid off quickly. Garrigus started using the short stick when he was 19 after seeing a custom fitter. Garrigus was using a 34-inch putter at the time but was struggling with short putts.
Garrigus was at 16-under 194, one shot better than Palmer in 1955 at Weston Golf & Country Club in Toronto, and matched two years ago by Dean Wilson at St. George's Golf & Country Club, also in Toronto. See more TM clubs, clcik here.
